Die Kunstlerin

 

Eliane Paulino is a Brazilian-German artist who was born in Jacarezinho, Parana, Brazil, in 1968. She immigrated to Germany in 1991 and later became a citizen of both countries in 1998. Eliane has been living and working in Düsseldorf, Germany, Brazil, and the USA since 2009. 

 

Eliane's education in the arts includes a diploma in Fine Arts from the Art Academy in Düsseldorf, Germany, where she studied Performance and Sculpture with Professor Klaus Rinke. She also studied Monumental Painting at the Art Academy in Maastricht, Netherlands, with artist Felix von Beek. Additionally, Eliane participated in workshops such as Painting Sculpture and Visual Culture Studies with professors James Cook and Katharina Sieverding, respectively, at the University of Arizona, Tucson, and the International Summer Academy for Visual Arts in Austria. 

 

Eliane discovered the Gelatine/Gelli Print technique years ago and has been fascinated by it ever since. She teaches this technique to both children in schools and adults in her atelier. Besides, Eliane's work involves a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, and performance, and has been exhibited in various solo and group exhibitions in Brazil, Germany, and other countries.
